I convinced one of my best friends Joe Cappuccio (Joey Capp/Cappuccio816) to come out to LA and stay at my friends' house while we play the $5k event at the Bike this week.
He reciprocated by busting me out of the event with A♥ 5♥ against my T♥ 7♥ on a 8♥ 6♥ 2♥ in the fourth level of the tournament on day one.
Then since I didn't want to drive 25 miles home in LA rush hour, I decided to kill some time by playing a $10/20NL cash game at the Commerce a few miles away.
I proceeded to lose $2k, then went back to get Joey. He'd lost most of the 100k he was up to after busting me, and was back to around starting stack of 30k.
Just as a kicker, we went and got some Taco Bell on the way home. I'm eating a bit healthier nowadays, so I just got one regular taco and one of the new shrimp tacos I was dying to try.
Joey somehow managed to eat the ENTIRE taco without noticing that it was, in fact, SHRIMP and not BEEF in the taco. Just one final little "F*** YOU" from one of my best friends for the day. =)
Sunday didn't go any better than Saturday … see for yourself!
