Stout's Sunday Report: February 27, 2011

I bricked the $2500 six-max, $5k heads up, $5k NL, and $10k main event at the LA Poker Classic, admittedly not the best week of live poker, so it was back to the online grind on Sunday.

I decided to take it easy for this Sunday session and play a few less tournaments than usual to try to focus on the bigger ones, especially since I'm still in LA and playing on a laptop + monitor instead of my usual desktop setup with a 30" and a 27" monitor at home.

Ironically I grinded the session at my friend Bryan Paris's house, even though he was still in the LAPC main event, since my good buddies Bryan Leskowitz (IKnewwwIt/Boston3Party), Jason Wheeler (jdtjpoker/jdpc27), and Chris Bonita (BonesMaster/BoNeZee) were all grinding there.

We also had the pleasure of having Bryan's awesome fiancée there to cook and help out. Thanks, Nicole!

To be honest I was really happy with the way I played pretty much the entire session, but the results just didn't come.

Lock Poker ran a $100k guaranteed $109 2 rebuy/1 add on tournament that got almost 750 entrants and paid about $22k to first. The Lock Pro rungoodsauce failed me when I ran T T into Q Q on the stone bubble for the 250k chip lead against a very loose player. I flopped a set, and lost to a turned flush.

I definitely got my money in bad and should lose, but the combination of it being a great spot for me to get it in and flopping a set definitely made it brutal...not to mention I'd LOVE to represent Lock Poker well by winning their first ever $100k guaranteed event on the Merge Network after winning their $50k guaranteed two weeks ago.

I made a lot of runs and had big stacks in a LOT of other tournaments as well with a total of seven cashes, but took a couple beats and couldn't win flips when it counted.

Congratudolences to Chris "BonesMaster" Bonita taking 9th in the Sunday Million to be the only one of us who profited for the day, but losing a 20 million chip flip for the chip lead. Gee gee, buddy. =/
