As I sit here watching this obnoxious group of young adults disturb the entire rest of the plane, I figured it's a better time than ever to write a blogpost.
This group of seven kids (I'm calling them kids because of the way they are acting, not because of their age) are screaming at the top of their lungs ... I guess they are excited they are going to Vegas. Fortunately, I have a big pair of headphones and my Ipod, although I feel bad for everyone else around me who doesn't.
Anyways, yes, I am on my way back to Vegas. I am headed there to film the Pokerstars Million Dollar Challenge and then film the second season of the Pokerstars Big Game.
It's been a pretty miserable trip so far, starting with my flight being delayed two and a half hours, then found out there would be no TV and no internet on the flight, which are usually both available on this flight to Vegas, topped off by this obnoxious group in front of me. Fun fun!
Well, I know you guys haven't heard from me in a while. The last time I did a video blog was at some point during my WSOP Main Event run. As most of you probably already know, I came up well short of the final table, getting knocked out on Day 5 in 463th place.
I was pretty disappointed with how I played on Day 5, making a few costly mistakes to lose most of my chips.
After busting the main, I decided it was time for me to pack up and head home. I was excited to see my family and friends, but really was not looking forward to going home to my condo knowing I would spend a good amount of time by myself.
Being so busy over the last few months helped me to keep my mind off of the breakup with my now ex-girlfriend. I knew that going home to the place where I spent so much time with her was going to bring back all these memories.
It took me a little bit to get used to being home, and living alone. I've had a roommate for most of my life, me and my brother shared a room up until the time I moved out at the age of 20. For most of the last three years since moving out, I've either had a roommate or been in a relationship.
After getting out of my short state of depression, and getting a pep talk from a few close friends, I decided I need to stay busy. I can't be just sitting around my place wondering if I made the right decision.
I started chilling with my buddies from home who I hadn't hung out with in months. I spent a lot of time with my parents and my siblings which was awesome. It was so nice to see all of them and spend some time with them. I took them all out to a nice dinner a few nights ago which they all really enjoyed.
In the three weeks I've been home I managed to exercise 12 times!! Most of those times were me playing racquetball with one of my buddies. In a very short time, I've fallen in love with the game of racquetball. It's an awesome game and an amazing workout. I'm not the best at it, but I'm trying to get really good so I can beat Dan O'Brien!!!
Also, a lot of my time at home was spent sleeping! I have still not gotten back onto east coast time.
Almost every day I was home, I was awake until around 6 am and would then sleep in until about 4 pm. It was nice to not have to wake up for anything and to be sleeping in my own, comfortable bed.
All that being said, I'm up in the air, back on the road, where I will be for almost two months.
After Vegas, I will be heading to LA to play WPT Legends of Poker, before heading home for only a few days, before heading to London for all the events there.
Peace guys, hopefully I'll put up the next video blog soon.
