I decided to cut back on the volume a little bit this week and keep it to a maximum of 8-9 tables instead of my usual 12.
Even though I only cashed 2 of 32 tournaments I was pretty pleased with the result since I felt like I played significantly better in the tournaments I did play.
I started the day off with a deep run in the Sunday Brawl. I had a huge stack deep in this tournament and was one of the top three stacks with about 100 players left. I made one big bluff that failed, and then ran Q♠ Q♦ into my buddy Todd Terry's K♠ K♥ to bust for a pot of about 55 BBs.
The ladies failed me again when I got it all in pre with them against A♦ Q♠ for more than enough chips to coast to the win for a ~$16k PCA package deep in the $700 satellite, which was another reason I was really happy with the way I had played for the day ... albeit a bit frustrated, of course.
On the bright side I managed to salvage a win for the day in one of the new late night turbos. I lucksacked my way to the final table of a tournament where the average stack is usually under 10 BBs without ever getting really short.
I was chip leader three-handed, but that obviously doesn't mean too much in a turbo structure and I finished third for almost $11k, which was more than enough to save the day!
I also took down the Stars six-max $109+rebuys on Monday night for $18.6k. I think it's time for that little downswing to be over and for me to get back to being a lucksack teeming with rungoodsauce! =)
